#nanowrimo – Today a quick poem & Writing Prompt

In my first podcast, I commented that I rarely write poetry anymore, so I decided to give that a whirl as I continue to work on my novel. Anyway, here is the result of that attempt.
M O O N L I G H T

In the moonlight, I see you

A shadow of what was

Mist tickles the air

Memories trailing toward the sky.

It always makes me wonder

What happened to you and I?

Forever seemed so long

And yet now seems so curtailed

Snapshots in the mind

A bygone lullaby.

It always makes me wonder

What happened to you and I?

#NaNoWriMo – TODAY’S WRITING PROMPT

Today, put yourself in your perfect vacation setting, or put your fictional characters in a vacation setting, and practice using description to show us (not tell us) what those surroundings look like.

HAVE FUN!
